A “High-tech Company”

This company operates in a demanding technical market where products must have a lot of functionality. As a result they design complex printed circuit boards that could be very demanding on the manufacturer.  For example one board has 22 BGA packages spread across both side of the PCB.  Microtech was involved during the product development stage and was able to provide “Design for Manufacture” assistance.  As a result the boards now run smoothly through the manufacturing stage and can be fully tested using boundary scan / jtag.  To intimidate the inexperienced, some of the BGAs have 1070 balls!  Having a close relationship with the customer means that the technology no longer holds any terror.

Good communications are critical to the success of this close relationship.  This is clearly demonstrated by their ability to accesses to all the critical information in real time through Microtech’s secure “Client Portal”.  This gives them immediate access to business critical data such as: the status of their orders with delivery dates; commercial information such as quotations; any stock held for them; the status of any repairs; and any technical information such as Design for Manufacture reports.
